2008 Louisiana

A Call for Paper

We are pleased to invite you to attend the 2008 AAPS Annual Conference to be held in University of Louisiana, USA from September 30 through October 3, 2008.

AAPS Annual Conference is an established international forum for the presentation and critical discussion of research findings and applications by academics and practitioners.

Participants from the fields of law enforcement, crime, and victimization gather at this conference to exchange their experiences, views and up-to-date research results with a goal to advance police/security practice and research. The theme for the conference this year is “Policing and Multicultural Issues Around the Globe.”

We hope to provide a forum full of academic challenges while lavishing you with exotic joys of Southern hospitality in Louisiana. Visits to attractive places including the marvelous hometown of Jazz, New Orleans and law enforcement facilities in the proximity will be arranged. The academic program is scheduled so that recreational and social events can be enjoyed without affecting your participation in the conference. Please come and join your colleagues in lively research discussions followed by friendly social gatherings and extraordinary site visits.

The registration fee ($100 for members, $200 for non-members and $50 for students) will cover local transportation, meals, site visits, conference material and other services provided during the conference. Paper presenters will be provided with free hotel room during the conference period, while other participants can stay at the designated cozy conference hotel room at specially discounted conference rate. We look forward to seeing you at the conference. For information regarding the conference venue and arrangements, please contact the host and co-organizers Dr. Rob Hanser (hanser@ulm.edu) or Dr. Scott Mire (smm6281@louisiana.edu).
